find that a lot of BIOSs that claim they can boot from a USB-stick have bugs that prevent them from actually doing so but a CD-R always works. This may be because I still have some pretty old PCs around though. But since seemingly everyone I knew gave me all their unused CDRs and DVDRs on the day that each decided that \u201cCDs are dead\u201d I have a 10 lifetime supply.
